Toguard is a great little dashcam with all that’s required for basic front video recording. Toguard is well known and a big seller in USA and UK.  They sell a range of both dash and reversing cameras. This dash offers 720 and 1080p resolution and is a very good budget option.

Overview:

A small inexpensive front video recorder (2.75*1.97*0.79 inches in size) which clips securely to a windshield suction mount. One 3mm cable that plugs into your cigarette lighter so the camera will work all the time your engine is running – unless the off switch is used. Controls are buttons at the side of the camera.

The camera unclips from the mount for transferring the footage from the SD card to a computer or phone. You can try to take out the card whilst the dashcam is on the screen but I found that quite difficult in my car. The card size can be 32GB which you will need to purchase separately – we suggest you buy a card of 16GB class 10 at least and with an adaptor.

We like:

The Toguard Mini contains a G Sensor to ensure that footage immediately prior to an impact or a sudden stop will be safeguarded. It also records a time setting.

Our Conclusion:

The instruction booklet is not the best but careful study will make it useable.

This budget camera is fine for simply recording images of your journey and showing license plate numbers in decent light.
